Mural Camp
Our Mural Camp is a one-week program which culminates in making a real outdoor mural on a real wall!
On Monday we’ll introduce mural history, mural styles and design. On Tuesday students practice the basics of painting a mural. Wednesday is a field trip day during which the kids will visit murals around the city, and go to an art store to purchase the supplies they will need for their mural. On Thursday they will continue design and finish up their plans for the mural. Finally, on Friday the kids go out to paint their designs on a legal wall.
Monday to Friday: 10:00am-3:00pm
Age: 11 years and over.
$380 per week (materials included)
The following weeks are still available: June 29–July 3, July 6–10, July 13–17, August 3–7, and August 17–21.
Every year, our mural summer camp fills up almost immediately after registration opens.
This is not just because we teach professional painting techniques; more importantly, we provide students with a space to truly create. Here, children don’t just learn how to paint—they learn how to express themselves, think critically, and transform their ideas into tangible works of art.
Murals are a form of public art, deeply connected to the city itself. By participating in mural creation, students gain an intimate understanding of the city’s cultural fabric and see firsthand how art interacts with communities, people, and the environment.
In a culturally rich and artistically vibrant city like Montreal, this kind of cultural immersion is especially meaningful. Our camp offers children the chance to step into the city, understand it, and become an active part of it.
